The important things in life...

There are amazing opportunities in life that cost a lot of money, but are well worth it.

However, there are so many times that there is no need to spend money just to make great memories. I just spent the whole weekend with my family.
Friday night, my two sisters, one of my brother-in-laws, my mom, nieces, and nephews all spent the night at my house. Between homemade pizza, soda, ice cream, and candy, we played the wii, old maid, and uno. Everyone claimed a spot on the floor (except for those lucky enough to get a bed, couch or chair).
This morning we got up and went to the zoo. So much fun and we didn't have to pay for any of it. There were options of course to spend money with shows and food, and Grandma did splurge for the sea lion show which was great.
The point is that to have fun you don't have to blow your life savings on Disney world or Hawaii. Time spent with people you care about is really the important most memorable thing in this world.

So...

My apartments lease is up in September and I have decided to look for a house.
I figured I would let all of you know so that if any of you see a nice house you could let me know. I am not really picky about location, but am still going to be at Maryville for the next two semesters and then SLU. All of my family lives in St.Clair (or close to there) and I want to be a little more in between those two locations.

Any thoughts?

Puppy no longer.

Well, my puppy has grown up. Thank goodness! I don't know how much more I could take of the chewing.

My parents have been great about taking Azlan on the weekend (...or weeks!) that I am out of town. Mom has helped trained her and kept her healthy. Here's some shots of her now.

However, her time outside on the farm usually makes her wild and crazy after she has been back in the house for about a day or two. She runs in circles, trying to herd anything that she can...me, kids, or thin air!

My thoughts...

...I really need to finish the other 10 papers out of the 15 I have to do before I leave for Australia.

...It is such a beautiful day out, wishing I didn't have to spend the whole day inside at work.

...Wondering when I am going to figure out all this paper work.

...what should I take out of the freezer for dinner and will I really feel like making something when I get back.

...about how calm my house is without a dog!

....a picnic might be in order!

...wondering what my sisters and friends are up to today???

Fun and cheap!

So my nieces and nephew find it SO very cool to use my digital camera to take random pictures. This has provided hours of fun and I actually get some really good candid shots. See..

There are always several that aren't so flattering...but we wont embarrass anyone in this blog! LOL
